DASH CLONING:
Automatically saves (also from saved files) the following data, which can be transferred to a dashboard recovered from another vehicle (e.g., from a salvage yard):
- IMMO DATA:
Immobilizer information including: VIN, Login, MAC address, Component protection, Power class, Key ID(s), Number of active keys
- IDENTIFIER REQUEST (FAZIT):
Each instrument cluster has a unique FAZIT identifier. A copy of this identifier is required to perform further operations on the panel using official tools like VAG ODIS.
- COMPONENT PROTECTION:
This is a strategy developed by VAG to uniquely link certain vehicle control units with the central gateway.
If this parameter is not correctly adapted, a component protection error will appear on the dashboard.
- DASHBOARD CODING:
Dashboard coding customizes the instrument cluster based on its specific features.
If the coding is incorrect, after replacement it will be necessary to connect a diagnostic tool and reconfigure it by reading values from the ABS control unit.
