The procedure is carried out on a dismantled meter. 9 wires should be soldered to the appropriate points visible in the pictures. This operation is necessary when it is not possible to access the meter directly via the OBD connector. If we do not have a valid key for the meter, then in most types of meters any operations via the OBD connector are prohibited. However, in order to be able to program such a clock, we must read the secret S-Key key using the Micronas J-tag programmer. To do this, after starting X-CAN and selecting the VW 06/2006… option on the J-Tag function tab, press the Read S-Key button. After a while, we will be asked to provide a file name. After saving it to a file, we can later load it using the Load S-Key option. From that moment on, we have full access to the meter and all of its functions.
