The Ross-Tech® HEX-V2 interface together with the VCDS software enables computer diagnostics of VW, AUDI, SEAT, and SKODA vehicles manufactured between 1990 and 2025. Support for models produced before 1995 requires the use of an OBD-I/2x2 adapter. Ross-Tech® HEX-V2 is the successor to the well-known and respected HEX-USB+CAN interface. When combined with the VCDS software, it matches the diagnostic capabilities of professional testers used in authorized service centers (e.g., VAS5052).

• The HEX-V2 interface does not support certain TDI engines found in Audi vehicles manufactured between 1991 and 1994 (which communicate at 240 bps).

• The HEX-V2 interface does not support the VW Routan model.

What Do You Need to Use This Device?

A computer is required — either a laptop or a desktop PC — with at least a 1.5 GHz dual-core processor and one available USB port (USB 2.0 or higher).

Supported operating systems: Windows 7 or newer.

Not supported: Windows RT, virtual machines (e.g., on Mac devices), and ARM-based computers.
