Operation modes:

  • OBD

  • JTAG

In OBD mode:

  • Read / Write Flash only
  • Read / Write Eeprom not possible (only JTAG mode)
  • No checksum

In DC mode:

  • Read / Write Flash only
  • Read / Write Eeprom not possible (only JTAG mode)
  • No checksum
  • On bench without opening control unit
  • On bench diagnostics by cable

 

In JTAG mode:

  • Read / Write full Flash and Eeprom
  • Need to open OPC5 and solder adapter
  • For recovery. No checksum.

 

Hardware requirements:

  • VEI V6/V7 device
  • Direct Connect 2U tool with OBD2 power cable
  • DC2U-OPC5 cable
  • DC2U-ISP-JTAG+BDM dongle
  • DC2U-JTAG8 flex adapter
