Many Citroen, Fiat and Peugeot light commercial vehicles are equipped with a digital tachograph (usually a digital Actia smartach). In some vehicles designed for personal use, the Tachograph is an unnecessary annoyance. Unfortunately, removing the Tachograph is not possible because the Tachograph also produces a speed signal for the engine ECU and speedometer. With TACHOEMU you can easily solve this problem. TACHOEMU allows you to remove the factory tachograph from Citroen, Fiat and Peugeot vehicles, while maintaining the normal operation of the speedometer.

 

 

TACHOEMU is compatible with the following vehicles:
  • Fiat Ducato (2007+);
  • Peugeot Boxer (2007 +);
  • Citroen Jumper (2007+), Relay (2007+);

This tachograph emulator can convert the tachograph speed sensor signal into a digital signal for the odometer speedometer.

 

 
How to install:
  • remove the tachograph from the car and disconnect all connectors from it;
  • on connector A, find the A5 (-Batt) pin, connect it (short wires) with the B2 (Sensor-) wire and the GND pin of TACHOEMU;
  • on connector A, find pin A3 (+ Ignition 15), connect it (short wires) with wire B1 (Sensor +) and TACHOEMU pin + 12V;
  • connect the wire from pin B3 (speed signal) to the TACHOEMU pin;
  • connect the wire from pin B7 (Speed ​​Out) to the TACHOEMU pin;

If the speedometer shows incorrect speed after installing TACHOEM:

You can change the K-factor (speed impulse/kilometer). Connect TACHOEMU to your car and drive (take a test). If the vehicle speed does not match the speedometer - change the K-factor.

By default, the programmed K-factor of TACHOEMU is 5100 imp/km. You can change the K-factor by connecting the K-line pin of TACHOEMU to GND.

With the engine running (the car is stationary), we create a jumper for 2 seconds and then turn the car off. We wait a while and then we need to do the test. If we haven't hit it yet, repeat it, hold the jumper for 2 seconds and turn off the car, then test again. Now it's perfect, down to the kilometer.

The K-factor will change from the next item on the list:

  • 5100 imp / km
  • 5300 imp / km
  • 5500 imp / km
  • 6000 imp / km
  • 4000 imp / km
  • 4500 imp / km
  • 4800 imp / km
After changing the K-factor, check your vehicle's speedometer again.
